Rain and mud to sock puppets

As we concluded our week of construction at the Children’s home we started out with a constant rain, and it really did not let up all day. We donned our rain gear and rubber boots and fearfully got on with business. We knew it was going to be a wet one when our two construction leaders were in rain gear.

We finished up a bit after lunch, and had some time with a couple of the kids making stained glass ornaments and were actually blessed to interact with one of the babies.

Today we said goodbye to our cook Monika and did some more shopping at our favorite indoor flea market, then made some sock puppets before settling in for some rest.

We are not too sure whether our sock puppets will put a smile on the kid’s face or terrorize them, so we will let Will and Ella make the judgement call…

Friday is planning to be an adrenaline day with ride over to the Caribbean side and some activities… Grace and peace to all
